Finding Balance with Balanzen!

October 9, 2018

This is our first post and we have been thinking for weeks what to write about! When we started this company, we had a loooot of ideas of what BalanZen will become. It took us more than a year to really understand our core value; today we have it clear: BALANCE. During this journey, we had to work first on us. It has been a great process of learning, opening, growing and a lot of homework.

We understood that life itself is an act of Balance, and we were constantly struggling between our work, relationships, money, health and time management; trying to feel stable in all categories; and off course wanting to succeed on all fronts. The reality was that we were very good in some areas but neglected or failed in some others. Why? We didn't have a clear objective, clear plan and neither defined what being in balance was about, until we had an amazing eye opening business coaching session (let us know if you want to learn more about this) So here we are, writing, sharing, opening and feeling happy for this opportunity to grow together.

This are some of the mistakes we were doing (Read and check if you are falling into any of them):

  • Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!

  • Packed schedule & not properly organized agendas

  • Business and personal core values not defined

  • Priorities were not prioritized

  • Too many ideas, monkey minds working extra hours

  • Unclear plan, strategy and structure

Nowadays, we have a north, we have a clear core value that makes sense, we have a plan, an structure and we feel the joy of living in balance. Now everything we do through BalanZen is perfectly aligned. We are now living freer, happier and healthier. As wellness advocators and experiences curators, our main purpose is to share our personal experiences and the tools that has helped us to be where we are right now. We hope our story inspires and help you to find the perfect balance in your life.

  • Start by defining what balance means to you (In your own terms)

  • Make a list of all your priorities (In order) and answer to yourself, which areas of your life are you lacking constantly?

  • Find your purpose (this can take while, and don't feel bad if it changes throughout your life, remember you may change too!)

  • Write down an strategy. How to get from where you are to your (new defined goals)

  • Apply more self-discipline, but be realistic and specific (If your goal is to lose weight; don't set yourself for a 365 days of jogging)

  • Focus and re-organize your time with your priorities; to avoid guilty, feeling overwhelmed and, most important; don't waste time!

  • Design a self-care routine in your schedule. Commit to give yourself at least 10 minutes daily (to read, to rest, to breath, to journal... )

  • Spend quality time with the people you love

  • Leave your Iphone, Ipad, tv; to live the moment

  • Do more of what makes you happy

  • Get out of your comfort zone.

  • Remember, give back. We rise when we help others.

  • Take action NOW!
